We hope our website contains all the information you need for your holiday but please do contact us if there is something missing or you would like to know more, the only silly question is the one not asked!
Find us by car
You can reach us several different ways depending on where you are coming from. There is no right or wrong way but some are shorter with less single track lane and some are hilly which are best avoided if towing a caravan but cars with tents will be fine. Just be aware that in coming to a beautiful rural area road signage is limited and small so as not to spoil the views for everyone. Familiarise yourself with our logos and then keep an eye out for our logo on signs found on posts, trees and gateways – get the kids to count them and we will have a small prize waiting for them on arrival if they get it right 😉 Always call if you are unsure and we will gladly help, we are not difficulty to find and only 3 miles from the main road but you do need to follow instructions and read carefully.
If you choose to use SATNAVs please be aware that if you reach either Taphouse Farm, Lodgehouse Farm or Prime Lane you have NOT yet reached your destination despite what he/she says and so do NOT enter these properties so as to cause a nuisance or become stuck! Continue until you reach an entrance directly off the lane with The Dorset Hideaway metal signs on both sides of the entrance and green wooden gates … From the A35 east or west bound turn at either the Art Gallery in Morcombelake and go downhill steadily to the crossroads at the pink house and turn right OR
turn down Berne Lane opposite Charmouth turning and sign for Whitechurch Canonicorum, head along this lane into village and at crossroads by pink house go straight across, after this continue for a short way until reaching a left turn (Gassons Lane) opposite Berehayes Cottages. Continue along this lane for approx 2 miles DO NOT turn off, wait until you go under the main pylon wires above you then slow down as you are getting very near the site entrance. The next corner has the entrance set back with railway sleepers upright and metal Dorset Hideaway signs and green wooden gates – congratulations you have arrived, come into reception and sign in 🙂 and then relax & start holidaying!
