The reception/shop is the centre of all things on site, small but perfectly formed. Check-in, pay deposits & pitch fees. Buy local produce ,place an order for daily bread/croissants, freeze ice packs, buy a cold drink, ice lolly or ice cream, report a problem, ask a daft question, hire a fire pit, buy some logs, hire a DVD, board game or large outdoor game or ‘borrow’ something you’ve forgotten! It’s also houses the information room where you can find out where to go, what to do & see; look at maps & leaflets, exchange a book, or use the FREE basic, non-fibre Wifi (only available here, not on each pitch). It is fine for searching out tourist information, checking emails – it won’t stream music, movies or videos. It is NOT fibre-optic as the infrastructure is not in place in our beautiful rural location & we have no control over this. So social media access will be limited to text. If you are coming for peace, relaxation and quality time together then this is the place to come where a digital detox is totally possible. 3 or 4G are available to some networks on site. Many of guests have asked us not to install wifi to each pitch as it is lovely having the family back
and all in one room together!
Just opposite is the site recycling facility where everything has a home & the big/broken stuff is at yours.
This is the place where everything gets cleaned, from the pots and pans, people and plates to the laundry & loo. Sockets are available for using your own Hairdryers/Straighteners etc The basins have soap and hand dryers. The Laundry is available from 9am – 7pm to maintain the peace on site. The block has underfloor heating & solar thermal water heating to help to do our bit for our beautiful planet. Water is softened. There is also a disabled wetroom & baby change facility. All areas have speakers with music playing quietly in the background.
Fresh drinking water & grey water waste are located just in front of the building and the chemical toilet waste disposal is in it’s own room marked on the front of the building complete with basin & soap to help make the not so nice tasks and bit nicer!

In total 59 spacious & mostly level pitches – 7 of which are fully serviced hard-standing pitches. All pitches have electrical hook up. All pitches have an area of grass on them – some more than others.
All pitches are divided from each other by either hedging or fencing EXCEPT the all grass tent pitches, all with the same outstanding views and tranquility. Suitable for tents, caravans, small RVs & 5th wheelers, motorhomes up to 9m, campervans, trailer tents and anything else in between. Hire a fire pit and buy some logs & marshmallows from the shop & then sit back and gaze as the sun sets and the starry skies appear before your eyes. We are an award winning ‘dark skies’ site and as such we have low level limited lighting so as not to intrude into the outstanding natural beauty of the environment, please do bring a suitable torch and appropriate footwear.
There is a small, fenced and unsupervised Under 10s play area. There is a ball games area for over 10s – basketball hoop, football goals, badminton net and then they can also use the games room in the barn where there is a pool table, table football game and table tennis – charges apply (hire everything from reception) and this area is under CCTV. The boules/petanque area is also by the barn.
