Try a tractor & trailer ride around our farm (small charge applies) first come first served basis and they do get full quickly! It is not just for the kids, grab a cider or wine from reception and jump aboard for a lovely end to a day on site. Grab a jumper and wrap up and take some stunning sunset pictures for your holiday album of memories.
They start from approx 6pm and run until dusk out in the field opposite the site, just listen out for the squeals of excitement from the kids on sites (and sometimes the grown ups too!) Play eye spy – deer and hare have been seen.

Sit back relax and enjoy the fabulous views and tranquility. At dusk why not borrow our glow in the dark star map from reception and do a spot of star gazing see if you can become and expert whilst on site. We are a ‘dark skies’ site for a reason!
Hire a fire pit and buy some logs & kindling and cook by the open fire or simply keep warm and star gaze – we are a dark skies site
Buy some marshmallows, chestnuts or crumpets from the shop
Swap a book at the book exchange in the information room
Take the kids to the play area and play basketball, badminton or football
Order fish and chips from the visiting van or a wood fired pizza oven van or Indian/Chinese carry out (pre-ordered in the morning £1 covers delivery)
Play boules/petanque – there are a set to hire in the shop
Hire one of our indoor or outdoor board games and play a family game

The Sparrow Hawk also likes to visit but he is very beautiful …& fast!
In Autumn listen out for the foxes barking for a mate
Listen and see how many different owl calls you can hear
– clue there are more than 2!
Get up very early in March and watch the hares in the field boxing
At dusk and dawn see if you tell which are the deer calls
Get up early and go down to the river and wait quietly for the otter
Book an electric bike tour of the area complete with guide
On rainy days why not go down to the communal barn and take the kids to play table football, table tennis or pool (small fee for all – hire the bats and cues from reception) or play a game of darts or use the table & benches and eat indoors with space and a view in the dry. We also have a freezer and fridge available in here for you to use – free of charge (items left at your own risk). Kids club also meets here daily. We hold our pizza, curry and hog roast nights here and family fun quiz and bingo nights. There is a bar every Friday – Sunday high season and all bank holiday Mondays from May 1st – Sept 5th with local ales, wines & spirits and bar snacks.
