A fully serviced seasonal pitch at The Dorset Hideaway is the perfect choice if you’re looking for a friendly, quiet retreat. We are ideally situated for exploring Dorset and the world famous Jurassic Coast, Devon and Somerset and the many attractions they have to offer.

Our beautiful countryside location boasts incredible views that are yours to enjoy for a full year.

Dogs welcome

Cant recommend this site enough! We store our caravan here and they offer tow on and tow off for a small charge and also a set up, legs down, levelled, water, toilet and electric on! We literally turn up and are ready to go! This is a super friendly site, a real friendly community.

We’re only 3 miles from the main road but you do need to plan your journey well before you visit. Our beautiful rural location means there are some narrow country lanes and some routes are hilly which are best avoided if you’re towing a caravan.

Our large gated entrance is easy to spot with ‘The Dorset Hideaway’ signs on both sides – you can’t miss us!

Beaches

The closest beach is Charmouth, then either West Bay or Lyme Regis.

Games Room

Walking

There are miles and miles of walks direct from site along public footpaths & bridleways.

Trails which are nearby include the Wessex Ridgeway, Monarchs Way, Jubilee Trail, South West Coast Path and Thorncombe Woods.

Many local National Trust properties have some lovely walks too.

Fishing

There are two deep unfenced fishing ponds on site, you will need a Rod Licence and a fishing pass to be able to use them. Rod licences are available from the Post Office and fishing passes can be added as an extra online when booking or bought from reception on site.

Takeaway food is available in the barn on site – Bank holidays and school summer holidays – WEEKEND ONLY

Pubs

Nearest pub is called the Five Bells & is in the local village of Whitchurch.

Petrol Stations

The nearest petrol station can be found at Morrisons in Bridport. An alternative can be located on East Road (A35), just off the roundabout.

Shops

Nearest off-site shops are Felicities Farm Shop at Morcombelake (2 miles).
Charmouth (3 miles) has a small supermarket.
Bridport is the closest large town with Morrisons, Lidl, Co-op & Waitrose (none are 24 hours).

We do not accept supermarket deliveries onto site – please contact us to arrange this.

Public Transport

We are not on any public transport routes.
The nearest bus route is X53 from the A35 at Charmouth or Morcombelake.
The nearest train station is either Axminster or Crewkerne.
